PIANO CONCERT
I'm going to pick up some bankruptcy information when I come back from all my piano concerts. I'm touring in a few different cities and I guess it's been helping me get the recent events off my mind a bit. Everyone knows I've worked really hard the last several years creating a home studio which makes what happened within the last month even more upsetting. I moved my piano and all my recording studio equipment down to the basement so I could have a nice space to teach my students instead of commuting to the studio downtown. Since my son has taken some time off from his studies I told him he could come back to the house if he wanted until he can sort things out. We decided we were going to put his drum kit down in the basement too so that he could teach beginning drum lessons if he wanted to. Everything was just how I wanted it to be and then we had that major storm. Those were some of the worsts gusts of wind I've ever seen for this area. It even knocked a few trees over into the street. It seemed like the rain just wouldn't stop. I went to check on things downstairs and was horrified to see that my basement was flooded! I was also right in the middle of switching insurance companies. I figured going without insurance for a week wouldn't matter but I was obviously wrong! I don't have the means to cover all the repairs that will be needed and I'm still carrying around a large amount of debt. I'll be relieved once I can do the bankruptcy and move beyond this.
