I thought that I’d never, ever be able to repay all of the debt that I had accumulated.  I didn’t really know what to expect going in, but with no other viable alternatives I made a call to Credit Solutions, a Green Bay Chapter 13 bankruptcy law firm, to set up a free consultation.  The meeting went surprisingly well – the lawyer that I met with assured me that we could set up a debt restructure that would have me free and clear of my current obligations in as little as three years.  I was in total disbelief, absolutely astonished, but he seemed very sure of himself.  I’ve been paying hundreds of dollars a month to these credit card companies and the balances never seem to go down at all.  I guess that I had let myself get into a position where my payments were only covering the interest on the debt and doing absolutely nothing to reduce the principal.  I guess if the lawyer can restructure a plan with the credit card companies to really lower or eliminate the interest, then my payments will really start to bring down the balances and I just might be able to pay these debts off.
