BLUES BROTHERS

Blues Brothers was on the other day, and it really reminded me why it was one of my favorite movies of all time.  It all starts because the orphanage the stars of the movie, Jake and Elwood, grew up in cannot pay its taxes, and needs to figure out how to file bankruptcy.  The guys decide that they are going to save the orphanage, and thus starts the adventure and the hilarity.  Aside from all of the memorable scenes and lines, the music is absolutely amazing.  The Blues Brothers as a band even had a decent amount of success after the movie, and managed to survive as a touring act.  I love Dan Aykroyd’s dancing throughout the entire movie.  People just do not move like he does.  It is almost as if he were made of rubber.  I also really like the scenes where entire crowds of people spontaneously break out into dance.  It is like the parade scene in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.  There are so many famous musicians in the movie, which includes Cab Calloway, Ray Charles and James Brown.  There are also other smaller roles for greats such as Carrie Fisher.  All in all, the movie has laughs throughout, and I could watch it every time it is on.
